  • 五感で味わうウニかき体験Enjoy sea urchin with the five senses

    五感で味わうウニかき体験

    It is a special experience where you can remove sea urchins from their shells, and taste them.
    These fresh purple sea urchins were gathered by the diver couple who own this guest house.

    • ・Fee : ¥4,000／per person
    • ・Time required : 1.5 hours
    • ・Things you need prepare :
      Clothes that are easy to move in, that you don’t mind getting dirty
    • ・Experience Details :
      This is an experience of cracking the shells of about 20 freshly picked sea urchins, and then scooping out the fresh meat from the inside and eating it. You can eat the sea urchins right there on the spot!
      • You can also take it back to Minato-ya and have it as a snack for dinner or as a sea urchin bowl for breakfast the next morning! If you wish, we will prepare a sea urchin rice bowl set with cooked Iki rice, soy sauce and nori (seaweed) for 500 yen per person.
    • ・Notes:
      *Please bring your own refrigerant, bag, container, etc. if you wish to take it home. Please note that we do not recommend carrying the fish around for a long time as it is a living organism. Please note that the tour may be cancelled due to weather or sea conditions. The start time of the tour may be delayed by about 30 minutes depending on the catch. Please allow plenty of time for the tour. The sea urchin is a natural sea urchin, and its growth changes every year depending on the ocean conditions. The amount of meat in the sea urchin also changes every year. We hope you will enjoy the sea urchin of each year. Please understand this beforehand.
